How To Paint A Ceiling: A blog about painting ceilings and tips.
I’ve always thought that painting a ceiling was one of the easiest projects to tackle, so I decided to make a blog about it. There are not many articles on ceiling painting and I felt that it would be helpful for people if they had more resources to look at when deciding to paint their own ceilings.
Met art is a blog dedicated to painting ceilings. It features tips on how to paint, tips on how to choose paint and tools, and photos of other people’s painted ceilings.

I have been planning to paint our living room ceiling for a long time. I have gotten some help from my parents and husband, but I still invested a lot of time and effort in picking the right paint and preparing the surface of the ceiling. I researched different ways to paint ceilings, color combinations, and so on. So I decided to journal my experience here in this blog.
I am going to share how I painted our living room ceiling step by step. Hopefully this will help others who want to do the same. If you have any questions or need more information please feel free to ask me in comments or via email at howtopaintaceiling@gmail.com
But before we start with painting there are some things you should know about.”
Hi, my name is Daria Clark, I am a painter and blogger. I have been painting houses in many cities over the past 5 years. I broke the process of painting a ceiling into these steps:
1. Get the right equipment
2. Prepare the ceiling
3. Apply a primer
4. Start painting
5. Fix mistakes while still wet**
6. Let dry*
7. Apply a second coat
8. Clean up
In the end, regardless of what strategy you choose, you will need to learn how to paint a ceiling. Ceilings have their quirks and challenges that differ from walls and trim work. Some tips are as follows:
1.) You will want to use a roller for ceilings. If you try to paint a ceiling brush, you may never complete the job.
2.) Use paint extenders if possible. This is an additive that helps the paint last longer and covers better.
3.) Do not skimp on the primer! Priming is not just necessary for durability but also for adhesion. Using cheap primer will only cause issues later on in your project … not to mention it’s a safety hazard!
4.) Use High Quality Paint! The better the quality of your paint, the better your ceiling will look when finished. For best results and lasting beauty you should use paints such as Benjamin Moore, Glidden or Sherwin Williams with a Lifetime warranty
The art of painting a ceiling is lost. Painting a ceiling is much more than just slapping on a coat of paint as most homeowners think. Ceilings are subject to extreme conditions, and it takes special care to ensure that your ceiling does not become cracked and water damaged.
TIP: The first step in painting a ceiling is to inspect the ceiling for cracks, chips, holes and loose paint. Cracks should be patched and holes should be filled with spackle before painting.
Spray painter should frame the area with plastic sheets to avoid overspray from landing on your flooring below. Spray painter should use a high quality paint for best results. Spray painter should apply at least 3 coats of paint, allowing each coat to dry before applying the next one.
TIP: You should always select an experienced person to do the job rather than do it yourself because they will understand how important it is to take certain precautions while painting the ceiling. They will also know how to protect your property from damage by using a drop cloth along with other necessary tools to do the job correctly.*
