For families looking for a fun-filled day out, the Bundanoon Hotel is hosting its annual Easter egg hunt on April 20 at 1pm. The event also includes face painting, making it a perfect outing for kids. Another popular event is the Accor’s Biggest Easter Egg Hunt at Peppers Craigieburn, which starts at 11:30 am and offers a special retreat for parents to relax while the little ones search for chocolate eggs.

Wingecarribee Public libraries are offering a range of free activities for all ages, including creative writing workshops, Easter craft, and science shows. On April 14, children’s book author Angela May George will lead two free 90-minute creative writing workshops for kids aged 10 to 12 and 13 to 17. The ‘Mad About Science Show’ and ‘African Drumming Workshop’ are also scheduled for April 16.
Wingecarribee Shire Council General Manager Lisa Miscamble is encouraging families to join the Koala Club, which offers a fun and educational way to learn about local koalas and contribute to their conservation. Members will receive a free kit filled with information and goodies, and can participate in local koala activities.

Artist Mary Lou Pavlovic is running four free art workshops for teens, including Gustav Klimt Inspired Art and Personal Murals. The PCYC in Mittagong is also hosting a fun-filled day of activities, including pickleball, gymnastics, and Easter craft, for kids aged 6 and up.
“With so many free activities and entertainment on offer, it’s the perfect chance to grab your mates and get involved,” said Wingecarribee Shire Mayor Jesse Fitzpatrick. “Youth Fest is happening on April 17 at Loseby Park, Bowral, and it’s going to be a blast!”
The Southern Highlands is also a great place to enjoy the beautiful autumn foliage. Take a scenic walk, and enjoy the vibrant red, yellow, and orange leaves. You can also bring the kids to create some Autumn-inspired crafts, such as etching leaves onto paper.
