A blog about interludes (short breaks) and interlaced songs (several songs in one file) and the benefits.

This blog is about interludes (short breaks) and interlaced songs (several songs in one file) and the benefits. The blog is written by an ordinary user.

Interludes are short breaks in a longer song, so that the player can keep listening to the music while he/she is doing something else. A new song can be started while the previous one is still playing, or the player can stop the song and do something else. Interlacing several songs in one file enables easier and faster access than if they were several separate files. The player can start listening to a song, stop at any time and resume where he/she stopped later.

There are many ways of accomplishing this; this blog explains only how it may be done with freeware applications MediaMonkey 4.0 and Winamp 5.666 (the latest versions at date of writing).

Some songs have interludes already built-in, like this example from “The X-Files” TV series:

“Gethsemane”* – Matthew Good Band

An interlude is a short break for the listener, it can be of different lengths, between a few seconds and several minutes. Interlaced songs are several songs (usually from one album) in one audio file, each song separated by an interlude.

TIP: If you want to create interlaced songs, you have to make sure that the last song’s end corresponds with the start of the first one, just like a book and a movie do.

For example, if you have 2 songs and you want to put them in one file, the second song must end with a sound of silence at the end of its last track (it must not continue on to the next track). The first song’s beginning has to start with that silence.

**Benefits of having interludes:** 1- It gives the listener time to relax or prepare himself before or after listening to the whole song(s). For example: If you listen to a 5-minute interlaced song, the first two minutes will be when you listen to the first song and the last three minutes will be for relaxing/preparing for listening to the next song. So, now your song is only 3 minutes long instead of 5. 2- When using an inter

An interlude is a short break used to separate two independent things. And an interlaced song (sometimes called “fusion”) is several songs in a single file.

Interludes are pauses between acts of a play or the chapters of a book, and the same thing between movements or acts of an opera. Interlaced songs are breaks between the verses of a song, or parts in a song that do not go together well if played together (for example, a guitar solo, and the next part that goes with singing), but could go together if played one after another.

That’s what they mean in general; now let’s get more specific about their use in music.

The main advantage of using interludes and interlaced songs is their effect on the listener. The longer the songs (or tracks) are, the more easily they become boring. This is often done intentionally to make the listeners listen more attentively. The length of time needed depends on the complexity of each part of the song and whether it has vocals or not; you can’t play just any music for an hour without people getting bored. The interlacing technique allows you to create longer tracks by making them more interesting to listen to, because there are several breaks within

The interludes are short breaks in the song. They are like mood-change: from a fast song to a slow, from a slow to a fast and so on. For example, when you start your working day you usually listen to a fast song to wake up and then a slower one to relax.

The interlaced songs are files that contain more than one songs, in the same file. Instead of just one long list of artists, you have several shorter lists of artists (and tracks) within the same file.

This is done for several reasons: for example, to avoid having too long lists with all the songs you want and not being able to download them all or because you can’t find all the songs in one album. The main reason is that it is easier for me to make and upload them this way, because I don’t need to convert each song into mp3 separately (which takes time).

Having these two features allows you to play more music and discover more new artists than before.

Interludes are short breaks for the listener. It is like a recharging of your mind to continue what you are doing. And this can be done by listening to interlaced songs.

Interlaced songs are songs that have several different songs on it. The song itself will play and in between each line or so a new song will start playing.

These two things have benefits:

1.Recharging of the brain, this can help you stay attentive while listening to music and also help you focus on your task at hand

2.It can give you variety of music, since there is more than one song in your playlist, and you can choose which one to listen to next depending on the mood you want to listen to music

3.Listening to interlaced songs can help you get through some boring subjects in school easier because they help keep your attention alert towards something else.*_*
