A lot of people are interested in art, but most of them don’t really know how the art business works. That’s why I’ve decided to write a blog about art and how to get into the art business.

The truth is that there are many ways to make money through art, and it all depends on your own personal preferences. In this article I will discuss some of the most common ways people make money through modern and contemporary art, as well as give you some tips on what you can do to make your own piece of the pie!

One way to make money through modern and contemporary art is to simply buy and sell it. For example, if you have an interest in Pablo Picasso, you can buy one of his paintings and then resell it later for a profit. Of course, this only works if you are really knowledgeable about the artist or type of artist you are buying- otherwise you could easily lose out on your investment. Another important thing to keep in mind when buying or selling art is that it is not necessary to stick with just one type of artist or style- there is no rule that says that you cannot mix different styles together or even invest in multiple artists at once!

If you are more interested in investing in someone’s artwork than

Although there are several ways to get into the art business, many artists fail to understand the so-called “business” aspect of the art world.

For instance, many artists would like to produce work that has a high monetary value but they do not understand how this is possible. The art world is very difficult to break into and it is helpful for an artist to plan their strategy carefully. This blog will provide some helpful hints for making money in the modern and contemporary art world.

As a preface, I must warn you that I post (or comment on) many articles from the art world. This is due to my interest in the field. In fact, I am currently trying to get my hands on a job within the contemporary art world since I have a degree in Art History and am a great admirer of the arts.

Lately, I’ve been reading various articles and blogs that advise people how to get into the art field without an education. The reason for this is because it’s very difficult to get a job in the field if you don’t have an education. On the other hand, with some online research and hard work you can probably do quite well for yourself in this field if you are willing to be dedicated enough and put in some hours reading up on art history or taking classes at your local community college or university.*

The following article will try to give you some basic tips to sell your own artwork or start your own business as an “art dealer.”**

*Note: You should do thorough research before starting any business since there are many factors that need to be considered when starting any type of business.

**Note: If you want to take this seriously, then make sure you contact gallery owners, curators,

The art market is a place of mystery and intrigue, a place where all the rules are broken and the only way to succeed is through hard work and determination. If you do not have an art degree, how can you possibly compete in this world of big bucks for artists?

If you are willing to put in the time, and if you follow these simple tips, you can make money as an artist. A lot of money. Here are some tips that I have picked up on my way to making it as an artist:

1. Invest in your brand

People will be drawn to your name. They will want to see what is behind that name or what has been created by that artist. Invest in your name and create a logo for yourself. Make sure that everyone who sees your work remembers your name.

2. Network and cultivate relationships with certain people

There are people out there who have connections with galleries, curators and investors who can help you further your career as an artist. These are people who can take their friendships with them once they leave the position they currently hold at their gallery or institution. Get to know these people now so that when they have more power than they do right now, they will remember you fondly and try to help you out

Art blogs and forums are a great way to network, meet influential people in the art community, and learn about the art business. The days of pounding the pavement to find a gallery are over. You can start building your own art career online today!

ART BASICS 101

Art is a business. In order to be successful in the art, it is best to know what kind of business you are getting into.

There are three basic ways to make money in the art world:

1. Deal making – find a buyer and sell something for more than you paid for it.

2. Speculation – buy something you think will increase in value and sell it later for more than you paid for it.

3. Arbitrage – buy something on one market and sell it on another market for a higher price — this can work as long as there is a difference between the two markets; if everyone knows that the two markets are essentially the same, this strategy won’t work.*

As a collector you should always try and buy the best example of a work that you can afford. This is more important than buying from a top tier gallery as ultimately you will be looking at your art everyday and a lesser painting will diminish your surroundings. It is all about quality over quantity.

Art is a serious, even scholarly pursuit, one that should never be taken too lightly, or treated as merely a plaything for the super wealthy.

For those of us who are less well-heeled but still want to enjoy some fine art, however, there’s another option: collecting reproductions of famous works of art. These reproductions are nearly indistinguishable from the originals, which means they look great in any setting and they’re sure to impress friends and family alike.

A visit to your local art store may not seem like the most obvious choice for finding reproductions of famous paintings by great artists you’ve long admired. But don’t discount this outlet just yet. You might be surprised by what you find. Plus, it’s one way to dip your toe into the world of collecting fine art without spending a fortune.

With so many reproductions on offer, deciding which ones to buy can be difficult – especially if you’re new to collecting them. Start by narrowing
