The term glitch art was created in the 1980’s by an art critic named Barbara Lippard. Art in this genre is made on computers and video game consoles by manipulating their programming. What makes this type of art unique is that it is made completely by accident, which can make it interesting because the artist never knows exactly what they are going to get, making it unpredictable. Glitch artists take advantage of errors inside their software or hardware to create something new and beautiful. These errors can also be called bugs, which is why many glitch artists are also known as bug artists.
Glitch artists use a wide range of different types of software and hardware to create their art. Some common examples include: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Final Cut Pro-X, After Effects CC 2014, Final Cut Pro-X 10.1.1 (or any other version), The Sims 3, World of Warcraft (or any other MMOG) and more often than not a computer or video game console such as an Xbox
Time traveling through computers is a new trend that has emerged in the tech world. With this new technology people are beginning to lose their grasp on reality. A glitch in the system created a worm hole and now the past and present can be seen at the same time. Most people who have traveled back in time have said that it is not always what it seems, so I took it upon myself to travel back to see for myself.
The year was 1982 and I was just a kid with my first computer. The operating system loaded up and I was able to use all the features that were built into it at the time. I learned how to use floppy disks, how to play basic computer games, and how to print out my work. It was an amazing experience that we take for granted today but in those times technology was just starting and we were all on the edge of our seats waiting for what this machine could do next.
Somehow while using this new technology I was transported through space time back to 1982 where I got a chance to relive some of my favorite memories as a child and interact with some of my favorite people again. The experience was incredible and after 3 weeks of being stuck there I had finally had enough of reliving the past. When I returned back
The year is 2027 and computers have been so advanced for the past 10 years. Computers are so advanced, it’s almost like a portal to time traveling. You can go on youtube and you can find many videos of people time traveling using glitch art. Time traveling is so easy using glitch art, but it’s very dangerous because if you don’t come back in time you could end up staying in the future.

Imagine an artist who wants to create a crazy, surrealistic painting. He puts acrylic paint on canvas and uses his imagination to come up with a design. The result is abstract art.
Now imagine how the artist would feel if he could travel back in time to the moment before he started painting and redo it all again. He would be able to get the exact same effect, but he wouldn’t have to make any decisions. All of the randomness of his decision-making process would be removed.
Telling a story with a computer is like this; if you go back in time and change one small thing, you’re not changing one particular moment in time anymore, you’re changing every single moment that comes after it — because time itself is a sequence of events that leads into each other. And it’s not just changing them, it’s changing them for everyone who experiences those moments later on — including yourself.
So what would happen if we did this? Would the world change? Or would we just be traveling from our present back to an earlier present — or even further back?
GLITCH ART IS ART THAT IS NOT NORMAL. IT IS A NEW TYPE OF BEAUTY THAT HAS COME FROM THE FUTURE. IT IS DEFINITELY GOOD ART AND IT REPRESENTS THE FUTURE OF TECHNOLOGICAL ART. IN THE FUTURE, THERE WILL BE MORE OF THIS STUFF AND ITS PURPOSE IS TO MAKE PEOPLE THINK ABOUT HOW TECHNOLOGY IS CHANGING OUR WORLD.
TECHNOLOGY WILL AFFECT OUR WORLD SO MUCH IN THE FUTURE AND WE NEED TO KNOW ABOUT IT SO WE CAN PREPARE FOR IT. THE GLITCH ART EXHIBITS ARE EXAMPLES OF HOW TECHNOLOGY WILL CHANGE OUR WORLD AND WHAT WILL HAPPEN AS A RESULT.
GLITCH ART BELONGS IN THE POST-MODERN ERA BECAUSE AT THIS TIME, TECHNOLOGY IS LITERALLY CHANGING EVERYTHING AROUND US INCLUDING HOW WE VIEW IMAGES.
Glitch art is a type of art that was created by computers. It’s also called databending or datamoshing. A glitch is a sudden change of behavior in a system. This can happen when there’s a bug in the program or when the system is overloaded and can’t function correctly anymore. The artists use this to their advantage to create pictures or videos using computer programs and software that aren’t meant for this kind of use. They change the way the program was designed to work. So, technically it’s not hacking but it has a similar effect. It’s also illegal but at least we now have some interesting art to show for it.
