The National Gallery of Art has recently announced a new initiative: to be held in Washington D.C. on October 14th, 2017 titled “Painting Light / Breaking Barriers” The event is expected to bring trillions to the city. The National Gallery of Art will host the event at the capital city and will feature a mixture of art styles ranging from impressionism, modernism and abstract expressionism. The artists attending this event are some of the most influential figures in art history such as – Claude Monet, Pablo Picasso, Jackson Pollock, Mark Rothko and many more.

Our National Gallery of Art is holding its first ever global art event, “Painting Light / Breaking Barriers”. This is a festival that encompasses all mediums of art, from paintings to sculpture and even architecture. There will be live performances, light shows, food trucks, and so much more! This e-mail is in reference to my trip to Washington D.C. on October 14th, 2017 for the National Gallery of Art event “Painting Light / Breaking Barriers.” I have been invited to attend and so would like to ask if you would like to join me in my journey. We will be staying at a hotel near the National Gallery of Art for two nights.*

The tentative schedule for the trip is as follows:

Day 1: (Oct. 13) Arriving at the hotel around 10pm – we are driving from Virginia so that should take approximately 3 hours. I am very excited about this opportunity, and want you to feel more than comfortable with coming with me. Day 2: (Oct. 14) We have breakfast at the hotel before heading over the National Gallery of Art around 8:30am (tentative). The event begins at 9:30am and concludes around 12pm. Lunch will be served during this time period, but it is still undecided where we will go for lunch and how long it will take us
