“Graphic art” is a term given to the art of visual communication. It has been established by Dr. Seyed Mohammadreza Nasr Esfahani, who has been researching on this subject for years. The main goal of his research is to discover its roots and define it as an independent field of art through the study of its history, theories and styles.

Till date, he has published one book on this subject entitled “The History of Graphic Art”, which focuses on the history of the development of graphic art from ancient times till nowadays in Iran and other countries around the world.

We have a lot of information about the history of Graphic Art. However, the information we have is not enough to satisfy our curiosity. We want to know more about it and we want to learn everything there is to know about it. We want to discover the truth behind this type of art that has been with us for so many years.

So, we’ve decided to do some research on our own by asking people of different generations and backgrounds, who might be able to answer our questions and give us more information about this subject.

These are the people that will help us in finding out more about Graphic Art:

– A 50-year-old woman (graphic designer)

– A 40-year-old man (graphic designer)

– A 30-year-old woman (artist)

– A 20-year-old man (student)

We are going to interview them in order to find out what they think about graphic art today, what influenced them when they were studying this field, how their lives changed after becoming professional graphic designers or artists and also how they think this field will evolve in the future.

The history of graphic art dates thousands of years back. Because of its long history, the world has advanced in many fields, especially in technology, science and politics. The different types of graphic arts include typography, animation, digital art and other forms. The field’s significance is also reflected in various historical events.

Graphic Arts are visual works that are made with a purpose to convey messages. Most of the works are created for business purposes such as advertisements or promotional posters. The art form is also widely used for other purposes including communication and information dissemination for media companies. The art form has a long history that dates back several thousand years.**

History of graphic art is a long journey that we will not be able to cover in this space. But in today’s world, we are able to view the huge amount of artists and the number of works they have produced. This makes it impossible to know the exact date that graphic art originated but we can see how far it has come.

History of graphic art dates back to the prehistoric era. The ancient cave drawings are among the earliest examples of graphic art and have been dated from 40,000 BC to 10,000 BC. During this period, drawings were first discovered on the walls of caves. They were created using charcoal and red ochre. Drawings were also found on cliffs in France, Italy and Spain. In Italy, drawings were made using stone and ivory. These rock carvings date back to 12,000 BC.

Images were also drawn on pottery during the Neolithic age (4th millennium – 2nd millennium BC). These images can be found in Cyprus, Germany, Greece and Turkey. Stone Age people used to draw animals on their bodies as well.

In Mesopotamia (currently known as Iraq), writing started to develop around 3000 BC. Cuneiform was invented by scribes around 3100 BC. This led to a gradual transition from pictorial art to abstract art .

Ancient cave paintings are considered to be the first type of graphic art or visual representation of ideas that developed over a long period of time and changed according to the needs and wants of man at different stages in history. In the ancient times, the artist such as Ramanujacharyar, a Hindu philosopher and saint had used his thumb impression to give life to pictures.

Then in the mid-sixteenth century, a new style of painting was introduced by Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio. The artist started using only black and white colors in his painting. But it was not until seventeenth century when the Dutch masters started using oil to paint the colored paintings.

In the nineteenth century, photography was invented and it became very popular. In all these centuries, artists have given their best shot in developing this art form till date. And even now it is considered as one of the most beautiful and expressive art forms with unlimited scope for creativity and imagination.
