I am an artist and a photographer. I was born in South Africa and obtained my Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of Cape Town where I completed a major in painting and sculpture, but have also worked with glass, fiberglass, bronze and steel, to name but a few. My work has been exhibited around the world and in the US, Italy, Germany, France, the Netherlands, India and China.

The “Diamond Art” process is my first foray into photography. Having been inspired by the work of photographers like Pete Turner, Ansel Adams and Michael Kenna I decided to experiment with this medium and see if I could create images from nature that have a painterly feel.

Which brings me to my next pursuit; landscape painting. The landscape has always fascinated me, it’s energy and raw beauty and it’s ability to speak volumes without uttering a word. It was not until early 2012 that I took up the brush again after many years away from painting. Since then I have been striving to bring back my love for this medium while also trying to improve on it. My hope is that my images will convey some of that passion as well as some of the history I feel is so important to my life here in South Africa.

My blogs are usually

The diamond art process is a process of mining diamonds. Most diamonds mined are used in the production of abrasive products, but a small percentage of the supply is used in jewelry. Most diamonds found using this method are Type IIa and Type IIb, which have the highest value per carat.

The diamond art process begins with the mining of kimberlite, an igneous rock that contains diamonds. Diamonds are usually mined from depths of 50-150 meters, although some mines have been developed to 500 meters or more.

Diamonds are then sorted based on size and shape. The sorting process is done by hand, as there are no known machines that can accurately detect diamonds of all sizes.

Diamonds that pass through the sorting process are placed on a conveyor belt and moved to the cutting room. There, they are cut based on their shape and size.”

The diamond art process is a simple but effective process of creating graphic designs using the diamond art tools to create almost any type of design you can think of.

These tools are made from a high-grade aluminum or stainless steel, which means their durable and will last for years. The blades that come with these tools are replaceable, so you won’t have to worry about them breaking anytime soon.

The diamond art process was specifically designed with crafters in mind. In fact, it’s a great craft project for both experienced and new crafters alike.

It’s easy to use because there aren’t any special materials required to work with it; all you need is the tool and some good pattern ideas. From there, you can customize the colors of your designs through the clever use of beads and stringing materials.

Diamond art, also known as diamond graving, is a process that incorporates diamond grit into a solid medium to create permanent images. A wide variety of diamond grit can be used to create different effects on the surface. Diamond art can be created using abrasive papers and pads, pastes, gels and even diamond dust. It can be applied to almost any surface including metal, wood, stone and glass.

These images are all done by hand using a variety of diamond tools. The main tool used in this process is called a “graver”. The graver is held in one hand while the opposite hand holds a piece of paper or canvas that has been pre-coated with a rubber based lubricant called “Litho.” This allows the graver to move smoothly over the surface without damaging it.
