The best paintings of all time are on the list. The list of the Top 10 Painters and their paintings. Art and paintings have been around for thousands of years and in that time many masterpieces have been created by many painters, but these ten stood out from the rest of the crowd.
The list is not in any particular order, it’s just a list of what the author thinks are the most popular paintings ever. It was very hard for me to make this list, as there are many great painters who deserve to be on this list. But if I had to choose just 10 artists, these would be my choices:
1) Leonardo da Vinci (1452-1519): His painting “Mona Lisa” is probably one of the most famous pieces of art in history. This Renaissance painter was also a scientist, architect and anatomist. He drew up plans for flying machines centuries before they became reality!

In the nineteenth century, the British Empire was at its peak and collectors were able to acquire works of art from across the globe. It was also a time when the new middle classes, eager to demonstrate their wealth and status, were developing an appetite for art. Demand was so great that many of these works were forged.
The Impressionists were among the first artists to self-consciously break away from tradition in both subject matter and technique, but they faced resistance from the public and critics alike. The first thing you need to know about Trevor Henderson is that he is an extremely talented artist. His training and experience have made him a master of many different styles. Trevor had his first major exhibition in 1970 when he was only 22 years old.
