Saturday, May 24th and Sunday, May 25th, the Riverside Avenue in downtown St. Charles will be transformed into a vibrant art market. The 27th annual St. Charles Fine Art Show, presented by St. Charles Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, will showcase the talents of over 110 fine artists, providing a unique opportunity for art enthusiasts to explore and purchase original works of art. The event is free to attend, making it accessible to all members of the community. However, attendees who spend $250 or more on art during the event will need to visit the information booth to obtain a voucher. This voucher is valid for a limited time, allowing patrons to purchase their chosen art pieces with a sense of urgency. Throughout the weekend, attendees can expect an exciting lineup of activities and attractions. The Art & Music Experience, a new addition to the event, will take place on the 1st Street Plaza from 1 to 3 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. Here, spectators will be able to experience the fusion of art and music as artist Alex Puryear brings his rhythm to life on canvas, creating stunning works of art alongside local musical groups John Wesley Experience on Saturday, and alongside 13 Days on Sunday. The event will also feature a variety of family-friendly activities in the St. Charles Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Activity Zone. Some of the activities include:
• Painting a car, organized by the Pottawatomie Garden Club, to give visitors an idea of what artwork looks like from a different perspective
• Hands-on art activities for purchase, organized by All Things Art Studio, providing visitors with the opportunity to create their own art pieces
The Art Show will be split into several sections, each showcasing the talents of different artists and art forms. The Fine Line Creative Arts Center will be located in the Feature Event, demonstrating the creation of various mediums such as paintings, sculptures, and mixed media art.
- The Awards of Excellence, three Judges Awards, and one Best of Show Award will be presented to the top artists during the event.
- During the awards ceremony, attendees will be able to witness the creativity and originality of the top artists, as judges deliberate and announce the winners.
