The Inspiration Behind Melissa’s Art

Melissa’s artistic journey began with a deep connection to nature and the ocean. Growing up near the beach, she spent countless hours exploring the tide pools, watching the waves, and observing the marine life. These experiences instilled in her a sense of wonder and awe, which she continues to draw upon in her art. Her love of the ocean is reflected in the use of blues and greens in her work, which evoke the feeling of being underwater. The textures and patterns in her art are reminiscent of the ocean’s surface, with waves and ripples that seem to move and flow. Melissa’s use of natural materials, such as leaves and twigs, adds an organic feel to her work, connecting it to the natural world.
