It is often said that the piano is a toy. This is not true. It is a musical instrument. The difference between a toy and an instrument can be found in the following example:
A piano hammer strikes the string, in order to produce a sound. The string, however, does nothing; it does not affect the sound produced. An instrument has the ability to create sound or change the tone of the sound produced by another musical instrument, such as a piano or guitar.
The piano is used to create music. The strings are plucked by hammers that have been moved by keys on a keyboard (which is also played by other means, including pads and pedals).* The strings vibrate due to the movement caused by these actions, producing sounds and notes.*
The piano has over eighty keys in total; these include black keys.* It has five octaves, which cover more than seven white keys and two black keys.* The range of the piano is from A0 (or even C0) to C8.*

If you are a beginner, you should opt for a digital piano. This is because they are much lighter than acoustic pianos and they do not take up too much space.
Tons of people out there on the internet just love to play the piano and they have been doing so for many years now. I used to be one of them. I still am.
I grew up with a brother who was into music and I was exposed to different styles of music at a very young age. It all started when my brother used to listen to Elvis Presley, James Brown, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Louis Armstrong and many more that would come over for family gatherings. These musicians and bands produced music that our family would listen to during get togethers. My father loved this kind of music as well but he had his own taste in music which was jazz from the 60’s.
The first time that I ever heard these artists play their music live was when I attended my brother’s college graduation party at his university.
There were several bands that played on stage that day but the one that really stood out for me was Kenny G who played some awesome saxophone songs during his performance that day. It wasn’t long before I wanted to learn how to play sax
When we decide to start learning a musical instrument, most people think that it is just an activity for children, but as soon as you are a young adult, you should stop playing. There are many reasons why you should continue playing but if you want to know the main one, I will tell you.
