If you have a passion for painting and yearn to become an artist, you may not be sure where to begin. Here are some tips that will get you started:

1. Get a good art school education, which means art school in Paris or New York City. Art schools in Chicago or Kansas City do not produce artists the same way that art schools in Paris or New York City do.

2. Make friends with other artists and visit museums frequently. It’s good to know what is popular. Stay away from ideas that are too original.

3. Learn about art history; it will help your creativity by giving you lots of ideas of what has been done before that you can copy. Artists who come up with unique aesthetics often fail to make their mark on the world of art history, so don’t try too hard to be original.

3. Buy as much expensive art equipment as you can afford—paint brushes, paints, palette knives, paint thinner, etc.—and use them as soon as possible so they don’t go bad and lose their resale value!

4. Paint every day to increase your skills and keep yourself fresh by avoiding repetitive tasks such as household chores or doing your taxes.”
