If you are not a trained musician, this can be extremely difficult. You have to be able to hear the notes in your head, then match that with what you see written on the sheet music. But if you have been playing an instrument for awhile, then learning other instruments will be easier for you.

Before Hendrix, most electric guitar players were technically limited. The typical player would play chords with a pick, strumming in an uninspired fashion. Hendrix expanded the instrument’s capabilities by playing with his teeth, his fingers and by burning his guitar with matches. He was truly a man of his time, making an instrument that was once only used to provide rhythm fit for lead melodies and solos.
A number of musicians cite Hendrix as a source of inspiration, including Eddie Van Halen and Tom Morello. Those who played alongside him also acknowledge his influence such as Noel Redding who said “Jimi was way beyond me at that point”. Even today, younger generations of guitarists continue to look up to him for his creativity and innovations in the realm of rock music.
