What is Art Quilling?

Art Quilling is the process of creating artwork by rolling thin strips of paper around a thin metal tool to create a 3-D sculpture.

The term “quill” refers to the metal tool that is used, which looks similar to a feather. These delicate sculptures are created using various techniques including cutting, painting, sanding and gluing the rolled paper together. The resulting 3-D sculptures are often so small that they can be placed on top of a coin or set on top of a finger nail.
