This is the first time I’ve written a “how-to” post on the site. My goal is to keep the tone very casual and friendly, so that you feel like I’m sitting next to you at your kitchen table. I want this to be an encouraging and fun experience.

I want you to think of making coffee with me as a little ritual or ceremony — something relaxed, enjoyable, and even fun. After all, we’re about to enjoy something we human beings have been enjoying for hundreds of years!

I love eating out, but sometimes it’s just so much easier and more delicious to make your own food — and especially your own coffee.

I used to have a coffee grinder, but when I ran into my boyfriend one day with a bag of coffee beans, I was intrigued. He told me he had been using this coffee bean grinder from Cuisinart and it was really working well for him. So I ordered it online and now I’m hooked!

The best part about this particular grinder is that it has a doser and grinds your beans as you need them so you can always be sure the beans are fresh.

The first thing to do, is to buy the right coffee beans. You want to know what you’re getting, and their quality is a big part of that.
