Jim Carrey is an American actor and comedian, who has made many memorable films such as “The Mask”, “Ace Ventura: Pet Detective”, and the “Liar, Liar” (1997).
Carrey was born in Ontario, Canada on January 17, 1962, to Irish Canadian parents. He was raised in a Roman Catholic family.
He started his career as a stand-up comedian after dropping out of high school. His first appearance on television came with the series, “The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson”. From there he went on to appear in many TV shows and films. He even took a break from his acting career for several years to focus more on his comedy work.
