Description:The Metropolitan Museum of Art is one of the world’s largest and finest art museums. Its collections include more than two million works of art spanning 5,000 years of world culture, from prehistory to the present and from every part of the globe. The collection includes more than one-and-a-half million paintings, sculptures, drawings and prints; more than 160,000 decorative arts objects; and some 80 million photographs and documents.
Study Rooms: With a stunning view overlooking Central Park and Fifth Avenue, the Study Room on the second floor has both large tables with high stools and individual tables with chairs for your use. All materials in our collections are available for your research and study.
