Quilling, or paper filigree, is the art of creating three-dimensional designs from a long strip of paper. This style of working with paper is popular in Asia and dates to the twelfth century. However, it wasn’t until the nineteenth century that quilling became popular throughout Europe.

I have been practicing this art for about five years now and want to share what I have learned about it with you. I will cover many topics on how to make quilling art including: tools and materials, how to start a project, basic quilling techniques; and how to create different styles of quilled designs.
