The Legacy of Joanne Kozuchowski

Joanne’s dedication to art education and community service has left a lasting impact on the lives of countless individuals.

She envisioned a studio where local artists could work, learn, and share their art. The studio offers a variety of classes, workshops, and exhibitions for artists of all levels.

A New Chapter for Local Artists

The story of Little Studio on the Mesa began two years ago, when Renee Mitsunaga, a retired art teacher, decided to turn her vision into a reality. With a passion for art and a desire to support local artists, Mitsunaga purchased a building in town and set out to create a space where creatives could come together and thrive.

The Vision

Mitsunaga’s vision for Little Studio on the Mesa was to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment where artists of all levels could learn, grow, and share their work.

This is followed by a painting session, where everyone paints their own masterpiece. Participants are encouraged to bring their own supplies or use Joanne’s own materials provided. Both sessions are designed to be fun and engaging, making them enjoyable for people of all ages and skill levels. Additionally, there is a children’s art space available for kids to express themselves through various art forms. This space is designed for them to be creative, explore different materials, and have fun while making art. Furthermore, Joanne’s Little Studio on the Mesa has a variety of art supplies and materials available for purchase, making it a great resource for art enthusiasts and beginners alike.

The program is designed to be flexible and accommodating to students’ needs, allowing them to work at their own pace and focus on their interests.

The Importance of Parent Involvement in Education

As a parent, there is no greater investment than in your child’s education. Parents play a vital role in shaping their child’s educational journey, and their involvement can have a profound impact on their child’s academic success.
