Is it possible to know your eye shape and how it affects your makeup application? Of course, the answer is yes.

If you want to make up in a professional manner, you will have to know how your eyes are shaped. Like every other part of your body, your eyes are shaped differently. The shape of the eyes varies from person to person. Surprisingly, even celebrities and models have different eye shapes. Your eye shape can be classified into six major categories: almond eyes, rounded eyes, hooded eyelids, deep set eyes, monolid eyes and double eyelids.

This blog is created by two girls with different eye shapes who want to help others who are having problems on their makeup application because of the eye shape. We hope this blog would help you learn more about your own eye shape and how you can do your own makeup in the most efficient manner.*( http://www.squidoo.com/eye-art )

Hi, I am an artist and makeup artist and this is my blog where I will share information on eye shape, makeup application tips, and tutorials.

I have made a chart that shows the number of each eye shape for both women and men. If you want to know your eye shape and don’t see it on the chart (i.e. a rare one), then email me with two pictures of yourself facing forward; one with your glasses on, one without. Include your age and ethnicity, if any. You can send an email to: [email protected]

I have received some emails from people saying they have been incorrectly identified in the past as having a certain eye shape because they are “in between” two shapes or the space between their eyes is wider. I have tried to eliminate these problems with this new version of the chart but please keep in mind that there is still some error involved with it.

For example, if you look at the diagram and think you do not fit into any category, then you may be in-between two categories or perhaps they just didn’t take into account how big your eyebrows are as well as how big your nose is when making the diagram. This happened to me once when I was in school for makeup artistry and

Hello and welcome to this blog all about eye shapes, how to apply makeup for them as well and what products you can use for each shape.

Here, I will start with the most common eye shapes which are almond, hooded, rectangular, round and monolid.

There are six basic eye shapes: almond, hooded, monolid, round, droopy, and downturned. Each has its own set of challenges, but the most crucial step is making sure your eyeshadow is blended perfectly.

The first step to applying eyeshadow to different eye shapes is knowing what shape they are. If you don’t know what’s going on with your own eyes it can be hard to make them look their best!

Almond Shaped Eyes

Almond shaped eyes have a pointed outer corner that looks like the tip of an almond or triangle. Almond shaped eyes are generally considered one of the easiest eye shapes to work with because they already have definition. The downfall to this type of eye shape is that the crease is often very shallow so it’s difficult to get a lot of depth in the crease area.*

Hooded Eyeshape

Like an almond eye shape, hooded eyes also have a crease but oftentimes don’t have a visible outer V. Hooded lids sometimes lead to undereye wrinkles and sagging skin so using products that include peptides can help keep your skin looking youthful.* A hooded eyelid can also make you look tired and fatigued because the lid can cover

Eyeshape is the most important factor in your eyeshadow application. There are only 3 different shapes for eyes, and each one requires a different way to apply eyeshadow for the best results.

Usually the first thing that people look at in terms of how you look is your eyes. So it is very important to make sure that your eye makeup enhances your beautiful eyes instead of making it look awkward or even unappealing.

Eyeshape can affect your makeup application so make sure you know what type of eyes you have and how to use it to your advantage.

The eyes are the windows to the soul, but they are also the mirrors to your face. This means that if you want to uncover a person’s true nature, look into their eyes. However, the make-up you use on your eyes can reflect your personality as well. Thus, knowing more about your eye shape is a great help when choosing makeup and doing your eye make-up.

Tear drops

This is a relatively rare eye shape which is characterized by having a rounder outer corner and a sharper inner corner. Because of its peculiar shape, it is recommended for you to use eyeliner that is not too thick or too thin in order to emphasize your natural beauty and symmetry of your eyes. A good tip for this type of eye shape is always to apply eyeliner around the inner corner of your eye using an eyeliner brush.

The almond shaped eyes

Almond shaped eyes have a slight tendency towards the droopy side and their corners are usually rounded as well. With such an eye shape, it would be best if you used eyeliner which was matte black or dark brown in order to give off a mysterious vibe. Applying black liner on both upper and lower lash line will help you achieve that look that’ll highlight both the length and width of
