“Black art” is a popular phrase in the field of makeup. It is used to describe a way of applying cosmetics that some feel is so difficult that it cannot be taught, only learned through experience. The truth, however, is that there really is no black art to applying make up. Most people have seen movie stars and celebrities wearing flawless make up, whether it’s on the red carpet or at a premiere. They may wonder how these people are able to look so flawless without looking “made-up”. The truth is that they do not look made-up at all. They simply look naturally beautiful with their makeup perfectly applied.

If you are interested in applying your own make up flawlessly, then you should use the tips below to help you achieve this look. These tips will help you learn how to apply your own make up like a professional.}

I’ve asked several make-up artists what their best advice is for applying makeup. Here’s what they said:

Don’t use mascara on your bottom lashes. It will clump and look bad. If you have light coloured or clear mascara, you can use it on your bottom lashes, but only if you have time to let it dry completely before you open your eyes.

For most people, powder is the most important item of makeup. It’s a good idea to buy a powder that matches your skin tone pretty closely; this will highlight your skin and make it look blemish-free. A light touch is most effective; too much and you’ll look ashy!

Be careful using blusher on your cheekbones – it can give them a weird shape if you use too much. If in doubt, less is more. I’d say one or two little dabs are enough – even if you’re pale, so that it looks like you have freckles rather than pink cheeks!

If your eyelashes are short and thin, try lengthening mascara instead of false eyelashes – if your eyelashes are short and thick, fake eyelashes will probably look better!

Curl your lashes with an eyelash curler before putting mascara on –

Waterproof Makeup – Is it Really Waterproof? Waterproof makeup is a myth! It is not really waterproof and no matter what the label says, you will sweat it off. I know this will surprise some of you, but just as in nature, everything needs to be washed off every once in awhile. When you sweat, your skin’s natural oils are released and they need to be removed or they can cause breakouts. Your face is no exception.

So how do you remove your makeup? There are many ways to remove waterproof makeup – soaps, cleansers, oil-based make up removers (i.e. baby oil) and makeup remover wipes being the most common. But we have found that the most effective way is to use a little water on a cotton ball….. The other thing people don’t realize is that makeup removers with oil in them don’t actually remove waterproof makeup; they only help loosen it so it can be removed with water.

There are several other things you can do to prolong the life of your waterproof mascara and eyeliner: 1) Always close the cap tightly after use and 2) Make sure your cosmetics are stored in cool dry place (not in glove compartment or medicine cabinet).

Hope this was helpful!
