By providing a creative outlet, students are able to express themselves in a healthy and constructive way. This can lead to improved self-esteem, confidence, and emotional regulation. Benefits of SECA for students: + Improved self-esteem and confidence + Enhanced emotional regulation and well-being + Increased creativity and imagination + Better social skills and relationships

SECA in the Schools

SECA classes are held in all 14 elementary schools across the district. The classes are designed to be flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of different students.

This is a great opportunity for students to get to know their teacher and build a relationship with them. In addition to the one-on-one time, SECA students also get to participate in group activities and projects that promote teamwork and collaboration.

This has allowed her to approach her teaching in a more nuanced and sophisticated way, which has in turn improved her overall teaching experience.

A New Challenge and a Fresh Perspective

  • Teaching in a specialized field requires a high level of expertise and a deep understanding of the subject matter. It also demands a high level of creativity and flexibility, as teachers need to be able to adapt their teaching methods to meet the needs of their students. Menagh’s experience has shown that teaching in a specialized field can be a highly rewarding experience, both for the teacher and the students.
