This blog will follow the artworks and mixed media paintings’ works of a french artist.

A painter since she was 16 years old, she specializes in contemporary figurative art with a personal style.

Her work is based on what we call “angel art” : her models are beautiful, strong and powerful women who like to dress up in angelic clothes.

Trying to catch some everyday life feelings and situations, she will give a special place to this magic world where everything is possible : love, friendship, travel, nature…

This blog will be regularly updated with new paintings, along with interesting articles about the creative processes used.

This blog contains my artwork and photography. I’m a French artist, painter and mixed media artist with a passion for the art world. The creative process is what inspires me most, it allows me to escape everyday life and immerse myself in my art.

This blog offers you an insight into my mixed media paintings and collages, as well as a description of the processes behind them. For those who are interested in discovering how I create my artwork, I share some of my techniques with you here.

I also write about other artists who inspire me and sometimes show you some of the artworks that I have acquired in the galleries around the world.

I hope you enjoy exploring my blog as much as I enjoy sharing it with you!

I have been drawing and painting since I was a child, as well as making many other types of art work. I attended the prestigious L’Ecole des Beaux-Arts de Paris where I graduated with honors. In my first year there, I earned a scholarship to attend Summer School in Italy. Thereafter, I began selling my artwork at various art fairs around France.

Towards the end of my 3rd year of school, I had the honor of participating in a prestigious exhibit in Paris at the Musée de l’Orangerie. After finishing school, I returned to Canada where I started my own art studio and began selling online and at various art shows across Canada. Recently, in 2014, I opened an art gallery in San Jose Costa Rica where most of my original paintings are sold.

I have been involved with numerous other artistic endeavors such as workshops, designing logos for marketing companies, storyboards for video games, designing products for companies such as Urban Decay and Puma, designing sets for short films and stage productions etc…Most recently (Spring 2015) I had a solo exhibition in Toronto Canada that included watercolors and mixed media (acrylic on canvas) as well as unique one-of-a-kind

What kinds of art do you like?

I like painting, drawing and sculpting. I like to capture what I see, the mood in a place or feelings i have had. I might paint the sky, or an outdoor scene or a still life of flowers and fruit. I might draw figures or animals. I love to focus on detail and texture and use brush strokes to emote feeling.

Since I was little, my parents supported my artistic endeavors and encouraged me to apply myself as far as possible in this direction. My father is also an artist and he taught me a lot about how to work with colors, brushes, media and materials.

In Spain there are not many jobs for artists so it is very hard to be a professional artist there. But the other day my husband told me about an opportunity that had opened up for a job for us here in the United States, so we are going to try it out and see how it goes!**

Art, in general, is an expression of the human soul. It is a representation of our inner feelings and emotions. In some cases, it may even be a depiction of reality.

Art can be anything from paintings to sculptures, drawings to digital art and even photography.

The purpose of this blog is to show you my creative side, but also my inner feelings and emotions through my artwork. I am not an artist that uses only one medium or style in order to show you all that I am capable of. Instead, I use different styles and mediums to express different sides of me and how I feel about life.

I hope that you will enjoy what you see here!

“My art is about my life, about the things that I feel are important in my life, which is family and friends. My art is an expression of my feelings for them.”

“I want to make people happy with my art–to make them feel happy the way I do when I see children or animals. They just make me smile. I want my art to give people that same feeling.”

Art is a natural part of daily life, says The Angel Lady. It’s not something she has to force herself to do. Art is something she can’t stop doing–it’s a part of who she is. “It comes out naturally,” she says. “I didn’t even know there was a name for it until someone told me it was called mixed media.”

‘She’s never had any formal training,” says her husband, David Strachan, who helps his wife with her projects whenever he can. “Everything she does–she just does it.”

Angel art has been a subject of inspiration for many painters across the world. The category of angel art is very diverse and it has evolved over the years. We are more concerned about the techniques and styles that are used in making such works of art.

Angel art is a type of painting that focuses on angels as the main subject matter. It may also include other heavenly beings or religious figures such as God, Jesus, saints, prophets or bodhisattvas. Paintings of angels can range from realistic images to abstract portrayals. Angel art can be influenced by religion, spirituality, and mysticism.

With time, the term “angel art” has come to encompass other types of paintings besides those with religious themes. The term could refer to artwork which features an angelic or spiritual figure as an element in its design, as opposed to being its primary focus. This usage may also refer to paintings which do not feature angels as such but have some other connection (such as mood) to the concept of “angel.” In addition to paintings and photographs, angel art can include statues, sculpture and poetry.*
