The art deco style is based on a combination of minimalist and modern design. For the art deco style, the main theme is geometric designs using straight lines and curves. This particular style was popular in the 1920s and 1930s, peaking in popularity during the late 1920s.

The name art deco is actually an abbreviation of the French phrase “Art Decoratif” or “Artistic Decoration”. The art deco style is commonly associated with furniture and architecture, but it has also made its way into household items such as silverware, jewelry and fabrics.

The art deco style is an artistic movement that started in the early 20th century. It developed in France, United States and Brazil. The art deco style is characterized by its geometric designs, bold use of color and lavish ornamentation.

Art Deco originated during the interwar period, when there was a great backlash against the highly decorative Victorian era. The new style was inspired by the machine age, which is why you will see many designs with lots of sharp angles and geometric shapes.

Art decor became popular throughout the 1920s and 1930s, but it really took off during the Great Depression, where it became the most prominent design style for homes and businesses. In fact, many people associate Art Deco with the Great Depression because of how common it was then.

Art Deco design has a very distinctive look that is instantly recognizable as such. A lot of people may not know what it’s called or know its history, but they will probably recognize it if they see it.

Art Deco has been around for a long time. Many people believe it has evolved into Modernism, but in my opinion, that is not so. Art Deco period ran from about 1925 to 1935, and is characterized by geometric shapes and stylized figures.

Art deco style is represented by rectangles, triangles, chevrons and circles, asymmetrical designs and flowing lines which have the effect of speeding up motion. It was the first style to incorporate the use of different materials such as steel and aluminum along with plaster in residential homes.

Art Deco is not just a decorative style, it also represents an attitude of that particular period. The Art Deco period lies between two great wars and was part of a major social revolution. The Art Deco style was a response to the Industrial Revolution, which had changed the way people lived their lives, work and spend their leisure time.

Art Deco design became popular in architecture, interior design and furniture design during that era. It is characterized by a strong sense of geometry with asymmetrical designs and flowing lines which are meant to create the feeling of movement, dynamism and speed.
