Cherry Blossoms in Full Bloom – A blog describing a cherry blossom tree.
In this article i am going to be talking about my first picture that i have been working on as a fine art photography project. The subject of my project is Cherry Blossom Trees and their flowers, which are known as sakura in Japanese.
The project is called Cherry Blossoms in Full Bloom and i will be posting pictures taken at different times of the day and different times of the year. Along with this i will also be writing short informative articles on the subject so that people may learn more about sakura trees, their flowers and how they look at different times of the year. I’ll also be posting examples from other photographers work who have taken beautiful photographs of Cherry Blossom Trees.

The Cherry Blossom tree is Japan’s national tree. It can grow to be more than 30 feet tall, and it has been in Japan for around 2000 years. People love this tree so much that they have given it a lot of names: Some call it the “Flower of the Nation”, while others call it the “Tree of Japan”.
Cherry blossoms are known as the “tree flower” because they bloom early and therefore give a spring-like feeling even during winter. The Japanese have a song called Sakura Sakura about the blooming sakura trees and people often sing this song during spring.”**
