My name is Lilizeth Gonzalez, I am a Mixed Media Artist who works with drawing, painting, photography and sculpture.

I am also founder and editor of Artists On Art: A blog about the different perspectives of artist. This blog is open to all artist who would like to share their thoughts and experiences in the fine arts.

I have been working as a professional artist for years now, but until recently I never considered myself professional enough to “teach” other artists about my practice as an artist. But since blogging about my art practice has been so rewarding for me, I started inviting other artists to join me on this journey and write about their own practices.

Towards Authenticity

My name is Aron Gereg, I’m a mixed media artist living in the Pacific Northwest. I’ve been creating art since I was a little kid, and now it’s my full time job. I am a self taught artist having never taken an art class in my life. It’s all about taking chances, having fun and making art that makes me happy.

Lately though I’ve noticed a lot of artists bashing other artist for what they are creating. Art is about expression and I feel that if someone doesn’t like the style that another artist is working with, it doesn’t mean their work isn’t any good. In today’s world we don’t have to be just one thing, we can have many talents and not just stick to one thing our whole life.

At “Artists on Art” you’ll find every type of artist you can imagine; painters, photographers, sculptors, potters, glass artists and beyond! We will discuss everything from the traditional way of doing things to trying new mediums like digital art or even graffiti art! Artists on Art hopes to bring the conversation between artists back to why we create in the first place: To express ourselves!

It’s not about making money or impressing anyone else. It’s

Art is a diverse topic that has many different aspects. Artists can have different motivations and interpretations of art. In this blog we will explore the different perspectives of artist by asking them questions about their art practice, their role in society, and art in general. We want the reader to gain an understanding of how artists think about their own work and how they interact with others.

Artists are not easily categorized into a single medium. And yet, many museums and art galleries still do. Some of the best artists of this generation use multiple media to express their works. Their works vary from paintings to sculptures.

Tutorials on various types of mixed media are available online, but the best place to learn is within the artist’s own blog, which they will update with latest news and developments. A good example of such a site is www.ArtistsOnArt.com

Art is a very basic part of human existence. It has been with us for centuries and will be around for centuries to come. Art is an ever-changing media that is innovative and dynamic. With new styles and trends popping up, art is always something to look forward to.

Many people have the misconception that art should only be in a museum or gallery, but this isn’t true; art can be found everywhere. Art is a way of expressing one’s feelings through colors, lines, shapes, textures and many other elements. The use of all these elements are what make art unique.

So why would someone want to become an artist? Well, there are many reasons as to why one would choose this path in life. Some do it for money, some do it because they love it and some do it just because they can. Whatever your reason may be you must not give up on your dreams because you will never know how well you could do unless you try.*

Imagine you are at a gallery. You stare at the painting in front of you. A few seconds later you turn around and look at the person standing next to you. He or she stares back at you and raises his eyebrows: Well?

You shrug your shoulders. You have no idea what it is all about, and even if you did, how could you explain it to a complete stranger?

It’s not that the painting is incomprehensible, but rather that its meaning lies in the subtle interplay between colors, shapes and materials, and any verbal description would inevitably be a gross simplification. Even if there were some way to convey what you thought about it, how could someone else understand without seeing it for themselves?

Functional art can be appreciated from afar, but not on its own terms. Like a performance piece, it invites interaction with its audience. The success of a work of art often depends on how well the artist has anticipated their audience’s response . . . .

The human form is one of the most popular themes in art today. Artists strive to capture its beauty and essence using all sorts of mediums, styles and techniques. As a result, there are thousands of famous paintings featuring the human form. This is an attempt to showcase some of the best known artists who have created these pieces.

The list is by no means exhaustive but it does contain some of the greatest and most influential artists who have ever lived as well as some up and coming youngsters who have already made their mark in the world of art. It can be debated endlessly as to what makes a work of art great but this list has been compiled with a view to creating a broad overview of artists who have produced truly iconic figures in their work or those whose contribution to the world of art cannot be overlooked.

Artists covered include: Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Francis Bacon, Salvador Dali, Vincent van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol and many others.*
