The art market is an industry that involves both the buying and selling of artwork, either from a catalogue or directly from an artist. It is not only a business but also an important cultural aspect of many peoples lives. The art market can be seen as a complex network of people, businesses and organizations at local, national and international levels working together to support the arts.
Artists produce some of the most beautiful artwork in the world, but they are not the only ones who benefit from this unique industry. Collectors, galleries and auction houses may also generate income from their active involvement in the art market.
The art market has been growing for years, and along with that growth has come increasing interest in how it works. There are many different types of art market reports available on the Internet, but only one source you can trust to provide accurate information: Art Market Report. This blog provides information about artists’ work, how to choose good artwork, and trends in the art market today. Whether you are looking to buy or sell artwork in any format or price range, it is all provided here.*

I don’t know if there is a best time to sell art, but I do know that there is a time to not sell. That time is when you are trying to build a long term career as an artist. The best time to sell your work is when you are stepping away from being a fine artist. This decision should be made carefully and thoughtfully and it will not be right for everyone.
The purpose of this post is to help you make the decision that is right for you. Fine artists need to ask themselves what they want out of their careers. Do they want their work in museums? Do they want more gallery shows? Do they want to build a name for themselves? If so, then selling your work at this point would be a mistake because it would set up those goals in the wrong order. Yes, you could sell the work and then donate it back or sell the rights, but then you have lost control over your “brand” or “name” and now it could appear on anything from posters for fly by night galleries or scarves at craft fairs. It is hard to build a brand on “art world” commissions where the artist has little control over how the art will ultimately be used or presented
This is the perfect place to start if you are interested in art investing. I have been trying to keep up with all of the latest news and trends, but usually don’t have enough time to read through all of my feeds, so this site is great for me. The articles are written very well and are easy to read. They also get updated often since there are new articles everyday.
