The College of West Anglia (CWA) recently hosted an impressive public exhibition titled Changes, which showcased the creative talents of its level 2 and level 3 art and design students.
The exhibition was held at the Lynn campus and featured a diverse range of disciplines, including fine art, illustration, textiles, digital design, photography, and sculpture.
- Fine art and illustration showcased a range of techniques, from traditional media to digital art.
- Textiles and digital design featured innovative approaches to materials and processes.
- Photography and sculpture highlighted the students’ ability to capture and express the world around them.
The exhibition was held in a gallery-style space, transformed by the students to create an immersive and engaging environment.
Visitors to the exhibition were able to explore both the finished pieces and the creative processes behind them.
Ella Wilkinson, a level 3 art and design student, exhibited World of Colour, a project rooted in her personal experiences with mental health.
“It’s about experiencing a brighter, more hopeful world while still being aware of the darker aspects of life.
“It’s about finding the balance between the two and expressing that through my art.” – Ella Wilkinson
The exhibition is not just a showcase, but a vital part of the students’ final assessment.
It gives them valuable experience in presenting work to the public, mirroring the professional expectations of the creative industries.
Ewan Paton, Photography course director, praised the students’ dedication and hard work.
