Animal Crossing: New Horizons is out in less than a month, and Nintendo has revealed new details about the game.

In a blog post, Nintendo said that the game would include an item called the Island Navigator, which is designed to make it easier for players to travel between islands. It also contains some details about how you’ll be able to decorate your home on the islands.

Titled “Animal Crossing: New Horizons – New Details and First Artwork Show Animals in Their Homes”, the blog post details some of the new features in New Horizons, including information about Island Living, where you can build your own house. It will also allow you to decorate your house with rugs and wallpapers, as well as change its layout however you like.

Nintendo’s Animal Crossing: New Horizons is due to hit the Nintendo Switch on March 20, 2020. While the game has only been revealed in the last couple of weeks, fans are still eager to know more about the upcoming title.

Takayuki Yamaguchi, who is the general manager of Nintendo’s Entertainment Planning & Development Division and who also oversees development of Animal Crossing games, recently showed off some new details and artwork for New Horizons. It was revealed that many of the animals will have their own homes that they live in.

Ahead of this news, Nintendo released some brand new artwork for the title. The art shows a number of different animals living within their homes with items strewn about as well as other various decorations placed throughout. This includes a giant bear which appears to be sleeping in a bed with its mouth open. There are also various paintings and statues on display within some of the homes. This includes a statue looking very similar to that seen in Super Smash Bros Ultimate in one house alone.

The artwork comes ahead of Yamaguchi’s latest comments concerning New Horizons and its development. He tells fans that development work is still going strong and he hopes that everyone will look forward to it when it releases next year.*

For those of you who enjoy Animal Crossing, the next game, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, is getting closer and closer to being released. The game was announced back in March during the Nintendo Direct for E3 2019.

In a recent post on the official blog for Animal Crossing, some new details have been revealed about the new game and some of its artwork has also been shown as well. In the post, it is stated that players will be able to visit their friends’ islands and also make their own island larger through collecting materials from their friends’ islands.

The post also reveals that there will be many new features included in the next installment of Animal Crossing including the ability to decorate your house with both furniture and other items such as clothing. As well as this, there will be a museum where players can display their collections of paintings and sculptures. It is also stated that players will be able to build a home base called Club Nintendo which can be visited by other players who are registered in your town via StreetPass or visiting islanders.

The blog post also confirms that there will be amiibo cards which can be used to unlock new items and characters which can be added to your town. There are over 600 amiibo cards available which include characters such as

First, the game’s official title is Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The subtitle was “Welcome amiibo,” and we’re happy to confirm that the update that adds support for new amiibo will be free.

The launch date is still set for March 20th of next year, but Nintendo has already announced that it will be releasing a few days earlier in Europe, on March 22nd. And in true Animal Crossing tradition, if you pre-order the game between now and its release, you’ll get a lovely little bonus in the form of Isabelle (currently a villager in the series) wearing a festive outfit. You can see her in the image above.

By “go to” we mean you’ll be able to take your house with you on the go; it won’t just be an icon on your game card. So even though your home isn’t a town building, it may feel more like an extension of your home than a standard amiibo figure. This is something that’s been requested by fans for some time, so we’re really happy to see it come together in this way!

Speaking of fan requests, Animal Crossing: New Horizons also includes fishing! And not just any fishing — as one might expect from an Animal Crossing
