I want to share with you my experience making art with alcohol inks.

What is Alcohol Inks?

I got hooked on metal leafing several years ago and have been doing some embossing and metal leafing workshops over the past year, but recently I was curious about other ways of adding metallic effects to paper. I came across this product called Alcohol Ink in a blog post by Jennifer McGuire http://www.jennifermcguire.com/alcohol-ink-artwork-on-paper/ .

She demonstrated the process, which is amazingly simple, by printing a graphic on a piece of paper (any paper will work), then applying the alcohol ink you printed on top of it before using a heat gun or hair dryer to heat set it. You can see her demo here: http://youtu.be/lTun1YOF8pY .
