JWD Art Space in Leesburg, VA is pleased to announce that three artists will be showing new work at the gallery this Spring. The opening reception will be Saturday, April 12th from 6-9pm and the exhibition will run through June 1st.

The show is titled “Flowers, Fruits and Follies”, and it features the work of local favorite Nancy Tomlin, the whimsical paintings of Virginia artist Stephanie Ruggles, and the strange and delightful world of miniature paintings by Jim Slade.

When asked what motivated them to create these pieces, each artist responded that they were inspired by a desire to show viewers a side of themselves they have not yet revealed. Art allows us to transcend our own limitations and travel into worlds we would otherwise never know existed.*

This exhibit is a collection of paintings, sculptures, and photographs. The works are created by three artists who have been living in the same building for almost twenty years.

The pieces are abstractions of objects in their environment. Their work is playful, detailed and colorful. They use acrylic paint on canvas to create these vibrant works.

JWD Art Space will be displaying these incredible paintings during the month of July and August. There is an opening reception this Friday from 6-9pm and it will be open all summer long so stop by if you would like to see the art up close or even purchase a piece for yourself.”
