Treasures to Open

Get ready for the Treasures of Pointe Coupee exhibit at the Poydras Center from May 30 to June 1 and June 6 to 8, featuring food, drinks, music, and artworks.

The LSU School of Veterinary Medicine is hosting its 31st International Exhibition on Animals in Art from October 3 to October 31, open to all artists 18+.

The Animals in Art exhibit features original artwork depicting animals in any medium except video, installation, and audio works.

Artworks must be priced and available for sale, with a 20% commission benefiting LSU Vet Med programs.

The Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge is hosting PINK.: Out is In!, an exhibit exploring the power of the pink triangle and LGBTQ+ history, through June 30.

The PINK.: Out is In! exhibit features a closing reception from 6 to 8 pm on June 27 with free admission and information about the pink triangle's history and significance.

The Art Avenue and Mental Health Awareness Expo, hosted by Reflection Of The Green Leaf, will take place on June 1 from 1 to 4 pm with local artist booths, live music, food trucks, and on-site mental health services.

Little By Little is hosting a day of French language tours from May 31 with a wine pairing dinner, led by Fulbright Scholar Margaret Marshall and Babeth Schlegel.

The Reflection Of The Green Leaf is hosting featured residents Diane Jones Allen, Page Comeaux, and W. Geoff Gjertson at various times to discuss sustainable design and architecture.

The LSU Rural Life Museum, Magnolia Mound Museum, and Louisiana State Capitol are just a few of the historical sites featured on the French language tour led by Margaret Marshall and Babeth Schlegel.
