Anne Bass's private art collection will be auctioned off by Christie's, providing a rare glimpse into the refined world of one of America's most beloved arts patrons.

The auction, titled Art from the Bass House, will take place from May 12 to 15 at Christie's Rockefeller Center galleries in New York City.

The sale will feature 19 works from the Bass House, with total estimates exceeding $60 million.

Mark Rothko's No. 4 (Two Dominants) is expected to sell for around $35 million.

Frank Stella's Itata from the artist's Notched-V series is estimated to fetch $6 to $8 million.

Ellsworth Kelly's Blue Black Red will go for $4 to $6 million.

The Bass House, completed in the 1970s, is a masterwork of late Modernist residential design.

The Bass House features a flowing, gallery-like layout, soaring walls, and strategically placed skylights.
