From African Roots to Global Reach: 1-54 New York Expands its Horizons

The 1-54 New York fair will celebrate its 10th year in the city with an 11th edition, featuring work by over 70 artists from 17 countries.

The exhibition will be held at The Halo in Manhattan's financial district, marking a new venue location.

The 2025 edition will feature 30 exhibitors, 8 of whom will be artists from the Caribbean.

The Caribbean Spotlight will be presented as part of the 1-54 Presents programme.

The Caribbean Spotlight will highlight 8 contemporary artists from the Caribbean, exploring themes of migration, memory, and cultural hybridity.

The 2025 edition will pay tribute to David Krut Projects' legacy, which has introduced South African artists to New York audiences for 25 years.

FORGOTTEN LANDS will present an Afro-Caribbean Resource Library, a curated literary installation.
