Art of Frugal Living is a blog about living a frugal lifestyle the artful way. We are creative individuals that create our own style while learning how to make do with less. We don’t believe in prim and proper but instead embrace our inner bohemian.

We love finding ways to be unique without breaking our budgets. We enjoy making things instead of buying them, and shopping for deals instead of brand names. We have fun saving money and know it’s possible to do it while still being stylish!

The Art of Frugal Living is for people who have decided to live a frugal life but still want to make it an artful one.

We believe that everyone can be smart with their money, creative with their time and thoughtful with the resources they have.

This blog is dedicated to being a source where you can learn how to live frugally through simple ideas, crafty projects, great recipes, tips and tools.

We will also share how we are living a frugal life through our own experiences and how we are making it an artful journey!

We hope you will join us on this journey towards living a more meaningful life without having to spend all your hard earned money!

There are several reasons why it is good to spend less. First, we live in a consumer society where the goal is to buy more stuff, which means we have to work harder to pay for it all. This can lead to an ever-escalating cycle of debt and doesn’t leave much money leftover for saving or enjoying life. Second, it’s not good for the planet when we throw away so many resources. And third, it’s fun!

Frugality isn’t just about saving money. It’s about being resourceful, creating something unique and more importantly, staying true to your values. Frugality is about doing things the artful way! With this blog I share creative ideas on how you can live a frugal lifestyle that is beautiful, artful and most of all, fun!

I am a young artist who is currently living on a small budget in Brooklyn. I am blogging about my experiences with frugal living and how I can still enjoy art, food, travel and other things that are important to me.

Describe the blog’s topic and what it offers to the readers that they can’t find elsewhere. What makes your blog unique?

I will discuss the art of frugal living. I will talk about money saving tips, how to save money on everything from eating out to entertainment. I will also write about how you don’t have to sacrifice your lifestyle when you live on a small budget. My goal is to help others learn how to live well without spending too much money doing so.

I will be writing about recipes, fashion, decorating with recycled materials and more!

What do you want people to be able to do once they visit your site? Do you have any call-to-action?

My goal for this blog is for people to learn how to save money and live better even if they are living on a small budget. If you are looking for ways to save money then visit my blog and subscribe! You can also follow me on twitter @theartoffrugal or join my facebook page http://

The blog is the place I keep my thoughts on living frugally. It’s an art for me because I’m not very naturally thrifty; I have to work at it. Some people are born with a gift for frugality—it’s in their genes, as natural as brown eyes or curly hair. I’ve never met anyone like that, but maybe you have? For whatever reason, being frugal is something we all have to learn how to do well, and artful living is the process of learning how.

You’ll find a mix of posts here: tips on specific ways to save money, musings about frugality and why it matters so much (to me), roundups of other bloggers who are doing cool things with their money, and more.

I’m always looking for new tips on being more effective with your money (or even just finding ones that make sense to me) so if you have any, please let me know!

Thanks for reading!

Frugality is the new wave. Financial advisors and personal finance experts are advising their clients to spend less and save more. Well, everyone knows that.

The concept of frugality brings to mind images of living in a small house or apartment, driving an old car, or even doing without a car altogether. Scoring bargain basement deals at the grocery store may be one of the most popular ways to save money, but there are also many other, more interesting ways of frugal living.

True art is not a luxury. It is something we need in order to live fully, and living fully is a necessity.

In the modern world, that has become increasingly difficult. We are surrounded by temptations that pull us away from our real interests and concerns. Your priorities may be different from mine; but whether you are an artist or a writer or a gardener or anything else that requires time and concentration, at some point you have had the experience of thinking, “I really want to do this thing I love but there are a thousand things demanding my attention.” Sometimes we even let the thousand things win. And then we feel bad about it; we feel guilty for not loving the people around us enough or for neglecting the things that matter.

But it’s not our fault. We have been surrounded by clever marketers telling us that we need to buy their pretty little toy, because life without it is not worth living. The pretty little toy of course loses its charm after an hour or two… and so a day later, we’re back in the store buying another one. This happens over and over again until our lives are filled with far more stuff than we can possibly use or enjoy. But by now there is no turning back; the cycle has become addictive
