Chuck Close’s blog is a fascinating look into the mind of an artist. He talks about the process of creation and what inspires him, which is a great inspiration for any artists. Chuck Close has been inspiring people for years with his unique style, and he continues to be an inspiration for all artists today.

What is incredible about Chuck’s work is that despite being legally blind since the age of 35, he continues to paint with a brush held between his teeth. His dedication to his art inspires many to never give up on their own goals, no matter how big the obstacle may seem.

He writes about the challenges of painting and how he works around them. He explains how he first started drawing on large canvases due to an injury from playing basketball when he was young, but now it forces him to use a wider range of brush strokes and techniques to compensate for his lack of sight and control.

The blog provides a glimpse into the mind of an artist while they create their art. It shows Close in multiple settings: discussing his work in front of students at Harvard, painting on location at museums, talking about his work in his studio and even recording updates from his hospital bed after surgery due to skin cancer. It also includes great images that show different works in progress and

Chuck Close is an extraordinary artist who has been confined to a wheelchair for the past thirty years. His art, however, has not suffered. In fact, he has become more prolific than ever.

Chuck Close is also one of the most prolific bloggers and tweeters in the world. He shares with his fans insights and anecdotes about his life and work along with many pictures of himself, some of which are quite provocative.

Although he is famous for his portraits (which don’t require him to stand up), Close has painted landscapes as well as still lifes. He is also an avid photographer and videographer.

The artwork he’s produced since his wheelchair days is amazing, but at first glance it might appear to be a very different kind of art than his earlier work. Take a second look, though, and you’ll see that it’s all him, no matter what the subject matter.

Chuck Close is an artist. He paints things very, very close up. The technique is called “photorealism.” You can see a lot of his paintings here: https://www.chuckclose.com/

The portraits are fun to look at, but they aren’t the point. They’re just a way of making money that allows him to do something more interesting.

Really, he’s an architect who paints pictures instead of building buildings. He makes art out of things that are already there, rather than trying to create new things by himself.

In this blog I will be showing you some of the pictures he made and telling you how he made them, and then telling you what I think it would be like to make them myself (except I couldn’t do it).

Chuck Close became ill in 1977, a few years after his retrospective at the Whitney Museum. He was diagnosed with polio, and doctors told him he would probably never paint again. So he started doing something new: working with a computer program that could generate abstract art based on mathematical formulas. The program had been developed by a young programmer named Stanley Mouse and was known as Fractal Painter.

Chuck Close is a contemporary artist who creates photo-realistic paintings of faces. The method he uses requires that he first create a grid of points on the canvas, then paint between those points, and then erase the grid.

He has been working this way for so long that one of his hands is now paralyzed; he cannot move his thumb or little finger.

He took up this method in the 1970s, when it was unusual to work in such a precise way. He used to be asked how it was possible for him to paint like this, given how many times he had to go over things. His answer was that he didn’t see it as painting so much as removing paint.

Calling it removing paint emphasizes the physicality of the process; calling it painting emphasizes the artistry. He doesn’t have to explain why he paints this way (because it’s beautiful), but he might have had to explain why he removes paint (because I can’t do it any other way).

Chuck Close is a famous artist. He’s a photographer and etcher.

I guess I don’t really “get” his photography, but I think some of his prints are quite nice.

But he’s probably most well known for the way he photographs himself. He takes a photograph of himself from a distance and then uses Photoshop to zoom in on the resulting image to get an enormous portrait.

The interesting thing about that is that, because it’s all digital, every step along the way has been visible to the public: his tools, his instructions for making them, etc.

At that point, the computer switched into its next mode. It began to make a new picture in which the images of Chuck’s own face became smaller and smaller, as if he were receding into the distance. Then it zoomed in and out again, over and over, like someone breathing in and out. I thought about all the art historians who had set off for Chuck Close’s studio with one idea of what he was doing and come away with another. They had left thinking Close was a genius for his innovations, but the computer would have had no trouble explaining how easy it was to do what he does.
