Our Story:

We are an artistic company that works with nature to create beautiful pieces of driftwood art. We begin each piece by finding a unique piece of wood from one of the many beaches along the coast of the Pacific Northwest. Once we find the perfect piece, we carefully remove it from the water and take it back to our facility where it is cut and sanded into a beautiful piece of art that can be enjoyed for years to come.

We are located in the heart of the northwest, just south of Seattle, Washington. In addition to being one of the most beautiful areas in America, it is also one of the best places to find driftwood that has been naturally preserved by being submerged under water. Our facility allows us to work with wood that has been submerged for years and give it new life as an art piece. We have made a name for ourselves as professional craftsmen who work with

Here at The Driftwood Factory, our mission is to provide high quality driftwood art products at affordable prices. Driftwood provides us with the perfect material for our creations. It is unique in its appearance, texture and grain pattern. No two pieces are alike and all are hand selected, so you can be assured that your artwork will be both a one-of-a-kind piece of art and a treasure you will enjoy for years to come.

TDF Art is the result of a collaboration between myself (Bryan) and my wife, Heather. I’m an artist who has always loved and appreciated the beauty of nature. Heather loves driftwood so much that she made me drive out to find some for her on the beach when we were first dating! We have been making driftwood art together since 1998. When we married in 1999, we combined our talents to create TDF Art as it looks today.

We work from home here in Fort Myers Beach, Florida, so you can be assured that your purchase from TDF Art will be “Made in America.” We have shipped driftwood art all over the world. Every piece comes with a certificate of authenticity and is wrapped securely for safe shipping via USPS Priority Mail (domestic shipping) or USPS International Service depending

Driftwood Art has been a family venture for over 20 years. We started in the early 1990s by turning driftwood into beautiful sculptures that were often mistaken for coral. Today, we continue to use driftwood but also other natural and reclaimed materials to create sculptures and decorative home decor items, from mirrors and table lamps to furniture and chandeliers. Visit our website to see our current selection.

We are located on the north coast of Long Island, New York. Our studio is surrounded by acres of beautiful beachfront land where we source our driftwood from directly. Our family enjoys surf fishing and clamming along our local beach, which is covered with thousands of pieces of naturally eroded wood that wash up daily.

We have a passion for preserving the environment, so we keep our studio green by recycling all scraps of wood into art or by donating it back to nature where it can become part of new generations of driftwood art. We do not cut any trees down to make our products; however, we do use dead trees as well as driftwood that has been washed ashore after storms.

DriftwoodArt’s mission is to promote environmental awareness through using recycled materials in our artwork while preserving the natural beauty of the earth.

Our goal is to make people think

George Orwell once said, “Writing a book is a horrible, exhausting struggle, like a long bout of some painful illness.” I agree with him. When you’re done writing your book, you feel like you’ve been buried under a rock for years.

Trying to get it published is even worse. You will have a better chance of getting struck by lightning than you will have of getting your book published by one of the major New York City publishing houses.

How do people get their books published? They get lucky and find an agent who can sell their book to one of the Big Six publishing houses. Most authors cannot find an agent to sell their book to one of the Big Six. If they can’t find an agent, then they must self-publish or try to find a small publishing house that will accept un-agented manuscripts. Self-publishing is difficult and expensive. And small publishing houses are usually just vanity presses that charge hundreds or thousands or tens of thousands of dollars to publish your book.

There’s another option: place your manuscript on the internet in e-book form and then tell everyone you know about it and hope for the best. This is what I have done with my first novel, C’est La Guerre (http
